WEBSITE VIRTUAL TOUR Cooperative Vinicola Aurora Founded in 1930 by 16 families with a shared philosophy: Great wine made by small families. Today Aurora is the largest wine co-operative in South America with over 1,300 member families. Located in the heart of Bento Gonçalves, it's the largest wine producer in Brazil and its members' dedication to producing fine grapes has led to worldwide recognition. WEBSITE VIRTUAL TOUR Vinícola Miolo Miolo draws on over a century of tradition in wine production dating to the 1897 arrival in Brazil of founder Guiseppe Miolo. The Milio Winery is also a pioneer of what's now being correctly labeled "Wine Tourism." Here one may visit Miolo's surrounding vineyards, the winery itself with its sweet scented aging cellars, and finish touring by tasting a wide range of wines in the friendly canteen. On request winetasting courses are also offered. The region's newest major hotel, the Villa Europa, will open in 2005 at the top of the hill across from the Miolo complex.
